Our Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, had a multi-dimensional character and personality. Although he was a religious scholar, he was also an expert in political, social, and cultural matters. Iranians know he was one of the most supportive figures in the country regarding Persian literature. Every year he held many meetings with poets and scientists. He worked very orderly throughout the year, from early morning until night, focusing on many tasks, including sports and health.
Ayatollah Khamenei was one of the most effective figures in our country regarding universities and new technology. Every year he held meetings with professors and students, especially during Ramadan, and also private meetings with professors on specialized topics such as computer science, nuclear engineering, and medicine. He supported professors and universities greatly. Without his support, we could not have achieved many scientific goals. For example, in nanotechnology, Iran is now ranked sixth in the world with his backing. He always urged the government and representatives to prioritize science.
Ayatollah Khamenei was not only our political leader but also a religious leader for many Muslims around the world, and for all those who stand against oppressive powers. He believed each country has its own responsibility. He opposed interference by countries like the United States in the affairs of other nations. Despite his age, his influence on people’s hearts and souls, especially in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq, was profound.
Funerals are important in our culture and religion. They are occasions where people gather to show support for their leaders and demonstrate unity against enemies. This also strengthens our government during international negotiations. Our people understand this and will participate in the upcoming event.
Our country is not based on a single individual; it is founded on strategy, thought, and religion. Enemies are mistaken if they think they can eliminate this great phenomenon by removing one person. We love our leader and know he has support from Lebanon, Hezbollah, and Yemen. Today, with the change of leadership, his son, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, will continue this path. Only through popular support and national unity can we achieve our goals and defeat our enemies, especially Israel.
